Tafí del Valle Tour

From your hotel in Termas de Río Hondo, where we'll pick you up at 8 am, we'll head north along National Route 9 towards the landscapes of Tucumán, located in the northern part of Argentina.

On the way to Tafí del Valle, we'll make several stops to explore the history and nature of this area. First, we'll stop in Simoca, known for its traditional carriages called sulky. If you do the tour on Saturday, you'll be able to visit its regional fair.

After Simoca, we'll take Route 307, known as the road of the yungas, which allows us to cross the landscapes of the Tucuman jungles. There, we will pause to admire the Monumento al Indio, a six-metre-high (19 feet) sculpture.

From the sculpture, we'll continue through the hills of the Valley of Tafi, reaching a maximum altitude of 2000 metres (6561 feet) at the La Angostura dam. The dam is only 20 minutes away from Tafí del Valle, where you'll have two hours of free time for lunch and to explore the town, including the El Pelao trail and the Jesuit Museum La Banda.

After lunch, we'll return south, making a stop in Famaillá to visit the church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen. We will then return to your hotel in Termas de Río Hondo, arriving at 7 pm.
