Tafí del Valle Tour

From your hotel in Termas de Río Hondo, pick up is at 8 am. We'll travel north along National Route 9 towards Tucumán, located in the northern part of Argentina.

On the way to Tafí del Valle, we will stop at Simoca, known for its traditional carriages called sulky. Tours on Saturdays include a visit to the regional fair.

We will take Route 307, known as the road of the yungas, where we will pause at the Monumento al Indio, a six-meter-high (19 feet) sculpture.

Continuing through the hills of the Tafi valley, we will reach the maximum excursion altitude of 2000 meters (6561 feet) at the La Angostura dam, just 20 minutes from Tafí del Valle, the key village in the region. You will have two hours of free time for lunch and exploration, including visits to the El Pelao trail and Jesuit Museum La Banda.

After lunch, we will return south with an intermediate stop in Famaillá to visit the church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen. Finally, we will return to your hotel in Termas de Río Hondo by 7 pm.
