Puerto Sanchez & Puerto Tranquilo Marble Caves Boat Trip
At a time of your choice, we will meet at the pier of Puerto Tranquilo to start a boat trip on Lake General Carrera.
We will first sail to the shores of the Panichini islet, stopping to admire the old ships stranded in the bay. Then we will head for the marble caverns of Puerto Sánchez, noted for their intense blue and greyish tones.
We will explore some of these calcium carbonate caves to view the impressive marble walls. In this area, we will also see a large colony of Andean condors, characteristic of the Aysén region.
We will continue sailing towards the coast of Puerto Tranquilo, where we will observe its famous marble caves, which are part of a site declared National Monument of Chile and Nature Sanctuary.
The crossing will include the marble tunnel. Finally, we will sail next to the islets of the cathedral and marble chapel, noted for their unique shapes.
After a two-hour and 45-minute boat ride, we will return to the starting point in Puerto Tranquilo.
