Join us to discover a unique landscape in Mexico on this panoramic tour of Las Coloradas, featuring the incredible pink-coloured salt flats!
Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Las Coloradas Tourist Park to begin the panoramic tour. We will explore this small fishing port on the northern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula.
The tour starts at the Las Coloradas Natural Park, a wetland with diverse biodiversity. This protected area is categorized as a Biosphere Reserve, highlighting its ecological importance.
We will tour around the lagoons, learning about their peculiarities. The salt production creates an ideal habitat for many aquatic birds. If we are lucky, we might see a Caribbean Pink Flamingo!
Next, we will take a tour of the largest salt plant in Mexico to appreciate the production process of sea salt through evaporation, the formation of salt crystals, and their storage in large mounds. The landscape resembles the moon!
Before concluding, there will be time to take impressive photos of the pink waters of Las Coloradas. The tour will last approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, after which we will return to the meeting point to say our goodbyes.
