Join us to discover one of the most unique landscapes in Mexico on this panoramic tour of Las Coloradas. We'll explore the incredible pink-coloured salt flats.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Las Coloradas Tourist Park to begin the panoramic tour. Throughout the tour, we'll uncover the charms of this small fishing port located on the northern coast of the Yucatan Peninsula.

We'll start by boarding our vehicle at Las Coloradas Natural Park, which features a wetland rich in biodiversity. This is a protected area categorized as a Biosphere Reserve, highlighting its ecological importance and preservation.

During the tour, we will explore the lagoons and learn about their unique characteristics. The salt production here creates ideal conditions for various aquatic birds, allowing them to shelter, feed, reproduce, and breed. Keep an eye out for the Caribbean Pink Flamingo; if we're fortunate, we might spot one!

Next, we will take a tour of Mexico's largest salt plant to observe the sea salt production process through evaporation, the formation of salt crystals, and how it's stored in large mounds. The landscape will feel otherworldly.

Before concluding, we will have time to take impressive photos of the pink waters of Las Coloradas. We will return to the meeting point after approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
