Chimborazo Volcano 2-Day Hike

Day 1

Pickup will be at 7 am from your hotel in Riobamba. After a brief breakfast stop in Urbina, we will travel to the foothills of Chimborazo Volcano to begin our hike. The hike is 6 miles (10 kilometers) up to an altitude of 13,615 feet (4,150 meters) to the Urku Wasi lodge. Upon arrival, lunch will be provided before we embark on a route to see the Condor Samana Waterfall, which is 131 feet (40 meters) high. We will return to the lodge for dinner in the evening.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will start a 5-hour hike through the Abraspung Valley to observe the Chimborazo and Carihuirazo volcanoes, encountering alpacas, llamas, and vicuñas along the way. Following lunch, we will descend the volcano and take a minibus home, stopping at La Chorrera Canyon to view its 656-foot (200-meter) high rock walls. Arrival back at your hotel in Riobamba is scheduled for 5 pm.
