Ride through the foothills of the Ecuadorian Andes and zigzag along winding paths on our Chimborazo Volcano Bike Tour. We'll leave Riobamba behind and set off on an incredible adventure.

Chimborazo Volcano Bike Tour

At 8 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Riobamba and take you to the Hermanos Carrel mountain lodge, located at an altitude of 5,900 feet (1,800 metres). Upon arrival, you will receive a bag containing a sandwich, a piece of fruit, and juice for the halfway point.

We'll take a short walk to a second refuge to see the Condorcocha Lagoon, situated at an elevation of 16,732 feet (5,100 metres). Afterwards, we'll return to the Hermanos Carrel camp to begin a cycling tour of Chimborazo Volcano.

This 23-mile (38-kilometre) route will start in a dry paramo area, where you may observe herds of vicuñas, curiquingues, and stellate hummingbirds, along with plants like ñáchag, romerillo, and ashpachocho, while enjoying views of the Central Andes.

Additionally, we'll cross winding rural goat trails known as chaquiñanes and cycle through a colossal gorge with green meadows until we reach the village of San Juan, where our cycling experience will conclude.

Our tour will finish as we return to your hotel in Riobamba at 5 pm.
