With this hiking route through the Chimborazo volcano reserve, you'll walk through historic valleys and see the closest terrestrial point to the sun.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Riobamba and go to the La Chorrera canyon to start a 15-km trekking route through the Chimborazo volcano reserve.

During the hike, we'll learn about endemic plants and may encounter herds of vicuñas. The route includes passing the first Carrel refuge, and 1.5 km later, reaching the Whymper refuge.

Next, we will continue to the Cóndor Cocha lagoon, at 5,100 meters above sea level. We will then descend to La Chorrera Canyon to visit the Chimborazo viewpoint, where a delicious snack will be provided.

Finally, we will return to Riobamba, arriving in 7-8 hours.
