Embark on an unforgettable hiking journey through the Chimborazo volcano reserve, immersing yourself in historic valleys and witnessing the nearest earthly point to the sun, a must-see adventure!

Description

Your experience begins with a pickup at your hotel in Riobamba, after which we will travel to La Chorrera canyon, the starting point for a 15-km trek within the Chimborazo volcano reserve.

During our ascent, you'll discover various endemic plants while keeping an eye out for the charming vicuñas that might cross our path! On our journey, we will first visit the Carrel refuge and, a short distance later, we will reach the Whymper refuge.

The adventure continues as we make our way to the Cóndor Cocha lagoon, situated at an impressive 5,100 meters above sea level. Following this, we will descend back to La Chorrera Canyon, where we’ll stop at the Chimborazo viewpoint to soak in the breathtaking scenery. Here, a tasty snack will be provided to help you recharge.

As the day concludes, we will return to Riobamba, completing our journey approximately 7-8 hours later.
