Horse Riding Activity at the Chimborazo Volcano

We will pick you up from your hotel in Riobamba at the indicated time and head towards the foothills of the Chimborazo Volcano. Upon reaching the refuge, we will embark on a 3-hour horse ride at 4,100 metres (13,451 feet) of altitude.

During the ride, we will traverse trails featuring endemic plant life, including the almohadilla, ashpachocho, climber's flower, and caballochupa. We will also encounter Andean vicuñas, a species of high mountain camelid.

Around 2:30 pm, we will take a break to enjoy a sandwich, a piece of fruit, and some juice while admiring views of Chimborazo and Carihuairazo, part of the western range of the Andes.

After the break, we will continue horseback riding to the Cóndor Samana Waterfall, a 131-foot (40-metre) waterfall renowned for its therapeutic properties. Afterward, we will return to Riobamba, with an arrival time at your hotel scheduled for 5 pm.
