Horse Riding Activity at the Chimborazo Volcano

We will pick you up from your hotel in Riobamba at the scheduled time and proceed to the foothills of the Chimborazo Volcano. Upon arrival at the refuge, we will begin our 3-hour horse ride at an altitude of 4,100 meters (13,451 feet).

During the ride, we will trot along trails that showcase endemic plant life such as the almohadilla, ashpachocho, climber's flower, and caballochupa. Participants will also encounter the Andean vicuñas, a high mountain camelid species.

Approximately at 2:30 pm, we will take a break to enjoy a sandwich, a piece of fruit, and some juice while taking in views of Chimborazo and Carihuairazo, part of the western Andes range.

After the break, we will continue our horseback journey to the Cóndor Samana Waterfall, a 131-foot (40-metre) waterfall formed by melting glaciers, known for its therapeutic water properties.

Finally, we will conclude our ride and return to Riobamba, with an estimated arrival time of 5 pm at your hotel.
