Day 1: Riobamba - Tres Cruces
At 8 am, we will pick you up from your hotel in Riobamba and begin our route along the Inca Trail, which spans 6,000 kilometers across several countries. Our hike starts in Achupallas at an altitude of 10,826 feet (3,300 meters) with a picnic lunch. We will hike for 4 hours to reach 12,959 feet (3,950 meters), set up camp, and have dinner near Tres Cruces.
Day 2: Achupallas - Patococha
After breakfast, we embark on a 7-hour hike to Cuchilla de Tres Cruces at 13,123 feet (4,000 meters), where you can enjoy views of Sansahuín Lagoon. A food bag will be provided for you to enjoy. We will descend to the Culebrillas Lagoon, linked to a legend of the Cañari people, and explore the archaeological site of Paredones de Molleturo, which features three Inca temples. We will camp at Patococha Lagoon, have dinner, and sleep under the stars.
