At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Riobamba and go to the historic center for a walking tour of the railway capital of Ecuador.

We will start at the city's viewpoint to enjoy views of the Chimborazo Volcano. Next, we will visit St. Peter Cathedral to observe its blended architectural styles and baroque façade. Then, we will head to the Merced Market to experience the local atmosphere and learn about traditional dishes such as hornado de Riobamba.

We will visit the Museum of the Mummy of Guano to see the mummified body of Fray Lázaro de Santofimia and, if possible, meet the last ice maker of Chimborazo, Baltazar Ushca.

Next, we will approach Balbanera church, built by indigenous people and Spaniards in 1534, and stop for lunch at the Pucará Tambo Tourist Centre.

After lunch, we will explore the tourist center, which offers panoramic views of Riobamba. Pucará Tambo is known for its ongoing tradition of textile making and the customs of its inhabitants.

We will return you to your hotel in Riobamba, concluding the tour after 9 hours.
