Description
We'll meet at Sucre Park at the designated time for a guided walking tour of Riobamba. As we explore, we'll encounter notable landmarks and learn about the city's history.
The first stop will be the León Theater, recognized as one of Ecuador's exquisite theaters, where we'll tour its architecture.
Next, we'll visit the Ecuadorian Post Office, an Italian-inspired structure designed by Natale and Luca Tormen. We'll explore the importance of postal communication in Ecuador from the 1950s to the 1970s.
Before concluding the tour, we'll explore the Casa Museo of Riobamba and take a stroll to Maldonado Park. Here, we'll examine the life and contributions of Pedro Vicente Maldonado Palomino y Flores, a notable scientist from Riobamba.
Additionally, we will visit one of Riobamba's beloved traditional ice cream shops, where we will enjoy a complimentary ice cream. The tour will conclude after 4 hours of exploration.
