Riobamba Guided Tour

With this guided tour of Riobamba, you'll take a trip back to the 20th century to unravel the historical events that marked a before and after in the capital of the province of Chimborazo.

Description

We'll meet at Sucre Park at the designated time to kick off an engaging guided walking tour of Riobamba. As we explore, we'll come across notable landmarks and learn stories about the city's history.

Our first stop will be the León Theater, one of Ecuador's exquisite theaters. Inside, we'll take a tour and appreciate its architecture.

Next, we'll visit the Ecuadorian Post Office building, an impressive Italian-inspired structure designed by Natale and Luca Tormen. Inside, we'll explore the significance of postal communication in Ecuador from the 1950s to the 1970s.

Before concluding the tour, we'll visit the Casa Museo of Riobamba and stroll to Maldonado Park, where we'll examine the life and discoveries of Pedro Vicente Maldonado Palomino y Flores, a scientist from Riobamba.

The tour will end with a visit to one of Riobamba's traditional ice cream shops, where we'll enjoy a complimentary ice cream, the perfect ending to our 4-hour adventure!
