Manaure+ Los Flamencos Sanctuary 2-day Tour

Join us on a 2-day adventure through Manaure and Los Flamencos Sanctuary, where you will discover salt mountains, pink water pools, and wading birds in Colombia's La Guajira desert.

Day 1: Riohacha - Manaure - Los Flamencos Sanctuary

At the indicated time, we will pick you up at your selected meeting point in Riohacha and travel to Manaure. Our first stop will be at the salt mines of Manaure, where we will learn about the salt production process over its 4200 hectares of land.

After the visit, we will have a lunch of rice with meat or fish, patacones, and salad. In the afternoon, we will proceed to Los Flamencos Wildlife Sanctuary to see the wading birds.

Before returning to Manaure, we will experience a salt massage for its dermatological and muscle-relaxing effects. We will end the day watching the sunset over a bonfire on the beach before heading back to our hotel in Manaure for dinner and rest.

Day 2: Manaure - Wayuu ranchería - Riohacha

After a breakfast in the hotel, we will continue to the beaches of Manaure and enjoy a traditional Colombian lunch at noon. In the afternoon, we will visit a Wayuu ranchería to learn about the traditions and lifestyle of the Wayuu.

At 2 pm, we will start making our way back to Riohacha.

Accommodation and meals

The tour includes one night of accommodation at the Brisas del Mar Hotel in Manaure or similar, along with two breakfasts, two lunches, and one dinner. You can choose between two types of accommodations:
