Manaure Salt Mines and Wayúu Ranch Experience
At the scheduled time, we will meet you at your selected location and take a minibus ride to the town of Manaure. The journey will last approximately one hour.
Upon arrival, we will explore the Manaure salt mines, renowned for their dazzling white landscapes, which have earned them the nickname of the "white bride of Colombia." Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, we will stroll through the towering salt piles and appreciate the stunning reflections they produce on the water's surface. You will learn about the salt industry and its vital role in the local economy, as well as how the salt is harvested.
Following our excursion, we will enjoy a meal at a local restaurant, offering a range of choices including beef, fish, chicken, or salad.
With our appetites satisfied, we will head over to a Wayúu ranch. The Wayúu are indigenous people native to both Colombia and Venezuela. As we explore their village, the locals will warmly share their cultural heritage and traditions with us!
After a captivating day of approximately 7 hours experiencing Wayúu culture, we will return you to the starting point in Riohacha, bringing our adventure to a close.
