Tour Details
At 9 am, we will pick you up at your accommodation or the cruise terminal in Roatan to begin the quad tour around the island. The adventure starts on the ATVs as we head to the coast to see the wreck of Dixon Cove, exploring the legends tied to the Nicaraguan Sandinista Revolution. We will then visit Arch's Iguana & Marine Park for a half-hour interaction and feeding session with the iguanas.
After this visit, we will continue on the ATVs to the Garifuna Cultural Center to learn about the history and culture of this ethnic group, linked to African, Kalinago, and Arawak aborigines. Following a one-hour visit, we will head to Oakridge, noted as the "Venice of Roatan". We will take a 20-minute boat ride through the mangrove canals and admire the houses among the foliage. The adventure concludes with a dip at one of Oakridge's beaches.
Finally, we will return to the cruise terminal in Roatan and conclude the tour at 2 pm.
