Tour of Pazo do Faramello

At a scheduled time, we'll meet at the parking lot of the Pazo do Faramello, next to the Xardin do Recordo. We'll begin to explore the pazo, a Galician civil palace built in the early 18th century in the baroque style of Santiago de Compostela.

First, we'll visit the chapel of the Pazo do Faramello, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, featuring a baroque altarpiece by José Gambino. Then, we'll explore the 19th-century French gardens, seeing a cruceiro, the Real Fábrica de Papel, and the industrial mills.

Next, we will walk through the forests of cherry and chestnut trees, part of the Portuguese Camino de Santiago. The path includes a wooden bridge and hydrangeas and camellias.

We'll then visit three key areas of the pazo: the baroque terrace of Compostela, the canal of the Real Fábrica de Papel do Faramello, and the 18th-century dam in a Celtic setting. The tour will conclude at the Adega da Arte, a former winery, now a store and exhibition area.

After an hour and 20 minutes, we'll finish the tour with a glass of wine and a tasting of local products such as chocolate, honey, or jams.
