Established in 1911, the Bioparco in Rome serves as an exceptional venue to connect with wildlife in the heart of the Eternal City.



This facility operates on a model distinct from traditional zoos, focusing on species conservation, environmental awareness, and scientific study of diverse wildlife.



During your exploration of the Bioparco, you will encounter a remarkable natural setting. The zoo houses approximately 1,200 animals across 200 species, featuring mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians sourced from around the globe!



Moreover, the Bioparco showcases a diverse collection of plants. Originally centered on Mediterranean flora, it has gradually expanded to include numerous exotic species. Numerous discoveries await as you roam through its lush landscapes!

Opening times



The Bioparco operates under the following hours:

3rd October - 25th March: Daily, from 9:30 am to 5 pm.26th March - 2nd October: Monday to Friday, from 9:30 am to 6 pm; Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, from 9:30 am to 7 pm.
