On this day trip to Pompeii from Rome, participants will explore Italy's history and archaeology, visiting the ruins of the city buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD and enjoying a panoramic tour of Naples.

Day Trip Details

The trip departs from Rome, traversing the fertile landscape and the Castelli Romani area. After a 3-hour drive, the tour will include a sightseeing tour of Naples, passing landmarks like Vomero, Posillipo, Egg Castle, and the Royal Palace.

Participants will then enjoy a meal at a restaurant featuring a pizza Margherita, Napolitana with mortadella or ham, mixed salad, dessert, and a choice of drinks including water, wine, soft drink, or beer.

A 2-hour historical tour of Pompeii follows, showcasing a city preserved under volcanic ash since the eruption in 79 AD, providing insight into ancient Roman life. The return to Rome is scheduled 12 hours after departure, concluding at Piazza della Repubblica.

Important Info

Starting from March 3, 2025, the tour will include a visit to Sorrento, with free time to explore before continuing to Pompeii. From that date, lunch will not be provided, and participants must arrange their own meals.
