Rome Private Golf-Cart Tour
- 3 hours
- 15 reviews
Would you like to explore Rome, the Eternal City, comfortably? On this private golf cart excursion through the city, you will journey through the Italian capital with a select group.
Tour Overview
At the scheduled time, we will meet you at your accommodation in Rome to commence an unforgettable private golf cart experience. Are you ready to uncover the wonders of the Eternal City?
Our adventure will commence with a view of the Flavian Amphitheatre from the golf cart. This iconic landmark, commonly known as the Colosseum of Rome, was the stage for legendary gladiator battles. Fascinatingly, it could host up to 50,000 spectators for these events.
We will then continue our journey by visiting other significant sites in Ancient Rome, including Palatine Hill, recognized as the birthplace of Rome and a former residence of emperors. As we traverse its ruins, the tale of Romulus and Remus resonates, nursed by the she-wolf that nurtured the founders of this remarkable city. Following that, we will navigate to Piazza Venezia, dominated by the Victor Emmanuel II National Monument, honoring the first king of a unified Italy. Its gleaming white marble serves as a tribute to the nation, inviting contemplation of its rich historical narrative.
Our route continues towards the Trevi Fountain, where it is tradition for visitors to toss coins, hoping for their wishes to come true. Next, we shall arrive at the Pantheon of Agrippa, an architectural jewel of Roman design. We will appreciate its magnificent dome, which defies the constraints of time. Remarkably, its concrete dome remains the largest worldwide, devoid of metal reinforcements, captivating both architects and travelers. Did you know that rainfall trickles in through its oculus before vanishing discreetly via tiny drainage holes in the floor? Such intricate details are truly remarkable!
We will also visit Piazza Navona, the historical Stadium of Domitian, erected in the 1st century B.C. to host athletic events inspired by Greek traditions. Here, you may soak up the lively atmosphere created by street performers, the enticing scent of freshly brewed coffee, and the warm sunlight illuminating the facades around you.
Continuing along the banks of the River Tiber, we will admire the outline of Castel Sant'Angelo, a structure that has served as a fortress, tomb, and palace. Our journey will then take us to Vatican City, where we will see St. Peter's Basilica, the spiritual epicenter of Christianity, followed by a stroll through St. Peter's Square.
In closing, we will conclude our tour at the Passeggiata del Pincio, a stunning viewpoint overlooking the city, offering splendid vistas marked by domes, bell towers, and golden rooftops.
After an enriching 3-hour experience, we will conclude the private tour by transporting you back to your hotel.
