elBulli1846: A Restaurant that Changed Everything

elBulli1846 is a must-see experience on the Costa Brava, explaining the importance of elBulli and its impact on cuisine. This museum safeguards the legacy of elBulli, located in Cala Montjoi, Rosas, featuring 79 installations over 4,000 square metres focused on gastronomy and innovation.

elBulli1846 consists of 4 large distinct spaces:

The Outside Space

The outdoor installations illustrate the history of elBulli and the work of the Bullinianos. Visitors will learn about the Sapiens Methodology and Bullipedia, exploring the timeline of culinary evolution back to the Palaeolithic era.

The Historic Building

Visitors will access the historic building that housed elBulli for 50 years. This section covers the company's case, showcasing how innovation was systematised through food, offering insights into the culinary experience at this renowned restaurant.

The Interdisciplinary Relations

This section explores what elBulli learned from various disciplines such as science and art, presenting publications, diagrams, notebooks, and global exhibitions that reflect the influence of elBulli.

elBulliDNA

The final part reveals projects by the elBullifoundation focused on food and innovation.

Audio Guide

Included with your ticket is an audio guide available in Spanish, Catalan, English, and French, which can be accessed via your smartphone, or a listening device provided by the museum.

Opening Times

The museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday between 9:30 am and 5 pm, with final entry at 2 pm. The estimated visitation time is 2.5 hours.
