elBulli1846: A Restaurant that Changed Everything

Welcome to the world's first restaurant-turned-museum! Visiting elBulli1846 is a must-see experience on the Costa Brava for all food lovers. This museum was created to safeguard the legacy of elBulli, located at Cala Montjoi in Rosas, and features 79 installations over 4,000 square metres reflecting gastronomy and innovation.

What is there to see at elBulli1846?

elBulli1846 comprises 4 distinct spaces:

The Outside Space

This area features installations showcasing the history of elBulli and the work of the Bullinianos over 50 years. Visitors will learn about the Sapiens Methodology and Bullipedia, exploring the outdoor area to understand the origins of cuisine.

The Historic Building

This is a key part of the tour. You'll have access to the historic building that housed the elBulli restaurant for 50 years, gaining insight into the systematisation of innovation through food and experiencing the culinary atmosphere of the famous restaurant.

The Interdisciplinary Relations

This section highlights what elBulli learned from disciplines such as science, journalism, photography, writings, architecture, and art, showcasing various publications and diagrams related to elBulli and Ferran Adrià.

elBulliDNA

The final tour section introduces projects by elBullifoundation related to food and innovation.

Audio Guide

Your ticket includes an audio guide for additional content about elBulli1846. Available in Spanish, Catalan, English, and French, you can connect via smartphone, or the museum will provide a listening device.

Opening Times

The museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday between 9:30 am and 5 pm, with the final entry at 2 pm. Estimated visit time is 2.5 hours.
