elBulli1846: A Restaurant that Changed Everything

elBulli1846 is a must-see experience on the Costa Brava for food enthusiasts. This museum safeguards the legacy of elBulli, which has changed the understanding of cuisine. Located at Cala Montjoi, in Rosas, it features 79 installations spread over 4,000 square metres focused on gastronomy and innovation.

elBulli1846 comprises 4 large distinct spaces:

The Outside Space

The outdoor installations reflect on the history of elBulli and the work of the Bullinianos. Visitors will learn about the Sapiens Methodology and Bullipedia, gaining insights into the methodology used at elBulli and its origins.

The Historic Building

This section provides access to the historic building which housed elBulli for 50 years. Visitors will understand the case of elBulli as a company and the systematisation of innovation in food, gaining a sense of the culinary experience offered at the iconic restaurant.

The Interdisciplinary Relations

This part showcases what elBulli learned from sciences, journalism, photography, writing, architecture, and art through various publications, diagrams, notebooks, and exhibitions globally.

elBulliDNA

The final segment covers projects by elBullifoundation focused on food and innovation.

Audio Guide

Your ticket includes an audio guide with additional content in Spanish, Catalan, English and French. Connect using your smartphone or use a provided listening device if necessary.

Opening Times

The museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday between 9:30 am and 5 pm, with final entry at 2 pm. The estimated visit duration is 2.5 hours.
