Glowworm Caves Kayaking Adventure
Arrive at the Rotorua Information Centre at the designated time. You will take a shuttle to the lake shore base, passing the iconic Redwood forest.
After arriving, prepare for the night tour. A guide will provide a safety talk and basic kayak instructions before embarking on the water.
Explore the shoreline as twilight fades. Once it is dark, follow the guide into small hidden caves populated by glowworms, which illuminate the caves with blue and white lights.
On clear nights, you may also see the Milky Way in the sky, providing a unique experience on calm water under a star-filled sky.
The kayaking activity lasts approximately 1 hour, while the entire experience, including transfers, totals around 3 hours.
