Ice Fishing in Rovaniemi

At the selected time, we'll pick you up in Rovaniemi and head to one of the areas in the Arctic circle. The journey takes approximately half an hour through the snowy scenery and fir tree forests of northern Rovaniemi.

Once we arrive at the chosen spot on the lake, we'll dig a hole in the ice and wait for a fish to bite. The ice layer during winter can reach a depth of up to one meter. Our guide will provide techniques and tips for fishing in the Arctic ice. You will focus on being patient and enjoying the surroundings.

The guide will gather wood to prepare a lakeside bonfire. Once the fire is lit, we will roast sausages and enjoy the warmth.

Throughout the tour, we will appreciate the landscapes and capture photos of our ice fishing experience in Lapland, gaining cultural insights into the local lifestyle. Afterward, we will return to Rovaniemi.
