Tour Details

After picking you up at your hotel in Rovaniemi, the tour heads north, resembling true hunters in search of our prize: the Northern Lights!

Our experienced guide will kick off the evening with an engaging introduction about this natural wonder—how it's formed, interpreting the data that helps predict it, and the overall plan for the night to maximize our chances of seeing the lights.

As one of the guides remains at base camp monitoring satellite and radar maps, our primary guide will keep us informed while we drive towards the clearest skies. With hundreds of carefully selected locations across Lapland, far from light pollution and providing open views, we will always be taken to the very best spots to witness the Northern Lights.

Since it's a natural phenomenon, it's impossible to guarantee a sighting of the Northern Lights. However, efforts will be made to enhance your chances of witnessing them. In the event we don't see them, exploring the forests of Lapland at nightfall will still be a rewarding experience!

As we wait for the magical northern lights to appear, we will admire the arctic wilderness. Unexpectedly, the greenish sparkles will illuminate the night sky—a vision that will linger in our memories! The guide will be available to capture incredible images of us under the Northern Lights.

Once we've seen the lights, we can remain as long as necessary to see if they intensify. When we decide to return, we’ll board the vehicle for the journey back to Rovaniemi.

Finally, after a duration of between 6 to 10 hours, we'll drop you back off at your hotel in Rovaniemi.

As a reminder, the aurora borealis is a natural phenomenon; therefore, its visibility cannot be assured—but we will exert every effort to make it happen!
