Snowshoeing & Ice Fishing

We will pick you up from your hotel in Rovaniemi at the selected time and head to the forests of Lapland. Prepare to engage in two well-known activities in this region of Finland.

Upon arrival, we will begin a snowshoe hike among snow-covered pine and fir trees, traversing stunning white landscapes. The trail leads us to a frozen lake.

Upon reaching the lake, we will participate in an ice fishing activity while enjoying the Arctic Circle scenery. We will have a short class to learn the main techniques of ice fishing, drill a hole in the ice, and cast our lines, then wait for the fish to bite.

During the fishing activity, the guide will light a bonfire to enjoy a barbecue-style snack including Finnish sausages and hot drinks. This provides an opportunity to refuel and warm up.

After the activities, we will return to your hotel in Rovaniemi approximately 4 hours later.
