Tour to Baredine Cave

On this excursion to Baredine Cave from Rovinj, we'll visit one of the most famous caves on the Istrian peninsula, filled with fascinating stalactites and stalagmites!

Tour to Baredine Cave

We'll leave Rovinj at 1 pm and head for the Baredine Cave, one of the great geological treasures of Istria. Once we arrive, we'll start a guided tour of the Baredine Cave lasting about 40 minutes. During the tour, we'll observe how water erosion has shaped the rocks, creating a large collection of stalactites and stalagmites.

As we explore the cave, which is 433 feet (132 meters) deep, we'll visit several sections of its 5 underground passages. Geological curiosities will be shared to enhance understanding of the origins and formation of this unique cavern.

After the tour of Baredine Cave, we'll visit the nearby Tractor Museum, which houses numerous Istrian agricultural vehicles, including a 1923 tractor-trailer, the oldest in the exhibition. Following the museum visit, we'll return to Rovinj, arriving at 7 pm.
