Discover the history of the capital of Rwanda with this private tour of Kigali. You'll visit the Genocide Memorial and the city's main markets, cultural centers, and museums.
Description
At the designated time, you'll be picked up at your hotel in Kigali to embark on a tour of Rwanda's capital city.
We will first head to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where we will learn about the attempted extermination of the Tutsi population by the Hutu government in 1994. More than 250,000 victims are laid to rest here.
Afterward, we'll visit Kimironko Market, the largest market in Kigali, followed by the Inema Art Center to admire works by local artists.
The tour continues with a visit to the iconic Inzora Rooftop Café and the Kigali Convention Centre, before heading to Camp Kigali, which has a memorial for UN Blue Helmets killed during the genocide.
We will also pass by the Kigali Arena, the largest stadium in East Africa, and stop at the Niyo Arts Gallery. After visiting the Nyamirambo Women's Center, you will have 30 minutes of free time for lunch in downtown Kigali. The last stops will be the Talking Through Art Gallery and Caplaki Craft Village. We will return to your hotel in Kigali, concluding the tour after a total of 8 hours.
