Yacuma Pampas 3 Day Trip

Amazingly more than half of Bolivia's territory is Amazon rainforest. Discover it for yourself with this 3-day circuit through the Pampas del Yacuma from Rurrenabaque.

Description

Day 1

We will meet in Rurrenabaque and travel by 4x4 to Santa Rosa de Yacuma, observing local wildlife along the way. At noon, we will board a boat to our lodging, where we will enjoy Bolivian cuisine. In the afternoon, we will explore the area, encounter capuchin monkeys, and visit a viewpoint for sunset over the Pampas del Yacuma. After dinner, we will embark on a night boat ride to observe nocturnal wildlife, including alligators.

Day 2

After breakfast, we will set sail on the Yacuma River to see various animals such as capybaras, alligators, and river dolphins. We will return to the eco-lodge for lunch and a break before potentially swimming with dolphins. Dinner will be followed by an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3

We will wake before dawn to experience the sunrise over Pampas del Yacuma. After breakfast, we will explore the area, listening to the jungle's sounds and watching for anacondas. Following our hike, we will return to the Ecolodge for lunch and pack before returning to Rurrenabaque, arriving in mid-afternoon.
