Amazingly more than half of Bolivia's territory is Amazon rainforest. Discover it with this 3-day circuit through the Pampas del Yacuma from Rurrenabaque.

Description

Day 1

In the morning, we will meet in Rurrenabaque and travel by 4x4 vehicle to Santa Rosa de Yacuma. During the journey, expect to see local wildlife including anteaters, sloths, and toucans. At noon, we will take a boat across the Yacuma River to our lodging, greeted with Bolivian cuisine.

In the afternoon, we will explore the area to meet local wildlife, including capuchin monkeys, and visit a viewpoint for a sunset over the Pampas del Yacuma. After dinner, there will be a night boat ride on the Yacuma to observe nocturnal wildlife like alligators.

Day 2

We will have an early breakfast before sailing on the Yacuma River. Expect to see a variety of animals including capybaras, alligators, lizards, and river dolphins. After returning to the eco-lodge for lunch and rest, we will, weather permitting, go back to the river to swim with dolphins.

In the evening, we will have dinner and stay overnight at the lodge.

Day 3

We will wake up before dawn to witness the sunrise over the Pampas del Yacuma. After breakfast, we will explore the area, listening to the jungle and observing anacondas.
