Amazingly more than half of Bolivia's territory is Amazon rainforest. Discover it for yourself with this 3-day circuit through the Pampas del Yacuma from Rurrenabaque.
Description
Day 1
In the morning, we will meet in Rurrenabaque and depart for the town of Santa Rosa de Yacuma in a 4x4 vehicle, observing local wildlife such as anteaters and toucans. At noon, we will board a boat across the Yacuma River to our lodging, greeted with Bolivian gastronomy. In the afternoon, we will explore the surroundings and see local wildlife, including capuchin monkeys, before enjoying a sunset view over the Pampas del Yacuma. After dinner, a night boat ride on the Yacuma will allow us to observe nocturnal wildlife, such as alligators.
Day 2
We will rise early for breakfast before embarking on a boat trip on the Yacuma River, where we will see capybaras, alligators, monkeys, and exotic birds. After lunch at the eco-lodge and a short rest, we will return to the Yacuma River to swim with dolphins. In the evening, we will have dinner and stay overnight at the lodge.
Day 3
We will wake up before dawn to witness the sunrise over Pampas del Yacuma. After breakfast, we will explore the area, listening to the jungle awakening and observing anacondas. Following the hike, we will return to the Ecolodge for a meal and pack before heading back to Rurrenabaque, arriving in mid-afternoon.
