Los Haitises National Park Kayak Tour

At the scheduled time, we will meet at Puerto Caño Hondo in Los Haitises National Park. After gathering, we will board our kayaks and begin exploring the Caño Hondo River.

We will navigate through areas with red and white mangroves and observe ceiba, mahogany, and grandleaf seagrape trees along the banks. The sounds of pelicans, owls, and kingbirds, along with other endemic species, will accompany our journey.

Next, we will venture into San Lorenzo Bay, where there is a chance to see dolphins and manatees. Participants should be alert for mogotes rich in unique flora. Additionally, we will explore Arena and Linea Cave to view petroglyphs left by the indigenous Taino people.

After approximately 4 hours of exploration, we will return to the starting point to conclude the tour.
