Kayaking Adventure in Los Haitises National Park

We will convene at Puerto Caño Hondo at your chosen time within the serene confines of Los Haitises National Park. After gathering, we will embark on our kayaking journey, navigating the scenic Caño Hondo River.

As we paddle, be enchanted by the sight of red and white mangroves along with towering ceiba, mahogany, and grandleaf seagrape trees lining the riverbanks. If you pay close attention, the melodies of pelicans, owls, kingbirds and other local bird species will fill the air.

Your adventure continues as we enter San Lorenzo Bay, where the possibility of spotting dolphins and manatees awaits! Watch closely for the mogotes adorned with flora exclusive to this region. Additionally, we will explore both Arena and Linea Cave, where you'll witness remarkable petroglyphs left by the ancient Taino inhabitants.

After four hours of exploration, we will return to our initial meeting point and conclude the tour.

Elevate your adventure by opting for an extended version! Start with the same kayak experience mentioned above, followed by an exciting hike.

During the approximately two-hour hike, we'll traverse the verdant tropical rainforest of Los Haitises National Park. This exploration will allow us to encounter local flora and fauna, understand the significance of this unique ecosystem, and appreciate the tranquil and pristine environment that defines the park.

We will conclude our six-hour experience back at the originating point.
