Lamego Trip

Do you know about the historical region of Terras de Trás-os-Montes? On this trip to Lamego, we'll visit one of the most outstanding cities in this northern Portuguese region.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel and head towards Lamego. Upon arrival, we'll embark on a walking tour of Lamego's historic centre. First, we'll admire the façade of Our Lady of the Assumption Cathedral, a gothic temple in the town centre.

We will stroll through the narrow medieval streets to the Igreja de Santa Maria de Almacave, the site where the Cortes of Lamego met. Next, we will proceed to the Castle of Lamego, learning about its history as we explore the outside of this medieval bastion.

Afterward, we'll visit the emblematic Santuário de Nossa Senhora dos Remédios, notable for its 18th-century rococo architecture. Finally, we'll go to a wine bar for a glass of sparkling wine from Lamego (juice for those under age). We will return to your hotel approximately 4 hours after pickup.
