Why visit the Cerdon Caves?
Nestled in the natural surroundings of Auvergne, the Cerdon Caves are located an hour from cities like Lyon, Annecy, or Geneva. These caves, once home to an ancient settlement, highlight significant geological formations shaped by natural erosive forces during the Quaternary glaciations. The underground gallery runs along the bed of an ancient river and showcases formations such as stalactites and stalagmites. After approximately an hour-and-a-half visit, enjoy a panoramic view of the Cerdon vineyards from the cave terrace.
