The ferry to the islands of Gozo and Comino departs from Sliema and Bugibba. The crossing takes approximately one hour on a modern ferry with a cafeteria service, allowing passengers to enjoy views of the Maltese archipelago. Once on the islands, you can explore them at your leisure, with several return ferries available in the afternoon.

What To Do on Gozo & Comino

The ferry arrives at Mgarr port in Gozo, where visitors can explore beaches and archaeological sites. Comino, the smallest island, is famous for the Blue Lagoon, offering swimming opportunities and hiking trails.

How it Works

You can get on and off the ferry multiple times during the same day. Free time on each island varies based on departure times: 2 hours in Gozo followed by 2 hours in Comino; 2 hours in Comino followed by 2 hours in Gozo; or 5 hours in either island.

Return at 5:05 pm or 6:10 pm (from 10 May to 1 October); or 5:40 pm (from 2 October to 9 May).From Bugibba: 10:40 am (from 1 October to 18 April) or 11:30 am (from 19 April to 1 October). Return at 7:30 pm (from 10 May to 1 October) or at 5 pm (from 2 October to 9 May).

Important Info

As of May 1, 2025, a free entrance ticket is required for disembarkation at the Blue Lagoon in the afternoon. Reservations are necessary; swimming in the lagoon or staying on board does not require a ticket.
