As well as the beauty of its nature, the island of Gozo is known for its monuments and cultural heritage. Be seduced by its exotic landscapes on this excursion from Valletta.
Gozo Day Trip
Having picked you up at the indicated meeting point, we'll make our way to the Cirkewwa port to the North of the island, from where we'll take a ferry to Gozo. Over 20 minutes you'll see the island take shape in front of you, as well as passing by the little island of Comino. The boat docks in the picturesque port of Mgarr. After disembarking, we will take a bus to the first stop: the megalithic temples of Ggantija, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to understand the history of these ancient religious monuments.
Next, we visit the city of Victoria, the capital of Gozo. We will tour the citadel and learn about the history of the walled city. Following this, lunch will be provided in a restaurant in the centre, featuring a three-course menu with wine.
After lunch, we continue our route towards the south of the island, visiting Xlendi Cove for its lively atmosphere. Finally, we will see Fungus Rock and the Dwejra Lagoon, known from Game of Thrones. After the lagoon visit, we will head back to Mgarr port for the return ferry to Cirkewwa, where a bus will take you back to your hotel.
Important Information
On Mondays, the tour does not visit the megalithic temples of Ggantija, but there will be more time for shopping and you will see "Gozo 360º", an audiovisual show.
