Hagar Qim Temples & Blue Grotto Tour
Half-day tour
This excursion begins with hotel pickup, visiting the oldest limestone quarry in Malta to learn about the local master stonemasons. Next, the tour proceeds to the megalithic temples of Hagar Qim, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the history of these religious monuments will be discussed. The tour continues to the coastal town of Wied iz-Zurrieq, where participants can board a boat to the famous Blue Grotto (boat trip not included). The return journey to the hotel occurs between 12:30 and 1:30 pm.
Full-day tour
The full-day option includes the same morning itinerary, visiting the megalithic temples of Hagar Qim and the Blue Grotto. Afterward, lunch will be provided in the area, consisting of a starter, main course, dessert, and wine. Following lunch, the tour drives through vineyard scenery to the fishing village of Marsaxlokk, where participants have free time to explore the local market. The final stop is the Ghar Dalam prehistoric cave, crucial for understanding the island’s Neolithic past. The return journey to the hotel will take place between 4:30 and 5:30 pm.
