Have you ever wondered what variety of birds live in the rainforest? Find out on this bird-watching experience at Castries Waterworks?!
Activity Details
After picking you up at your hotel, we'll head to the Castries Waterworks Forest Reserve. Once we're ready, we'll set off along the trails of this rainforest in Santa Lucía. We'll start the walk on trails of moderate difficulty and take breaks along the way to observe the treetops and the birds.
We will see local birds in the Castries Waterworks' untouched natural environment. Species you may encounter include elegant emerald hummingbirds, Old World flycatchers, Carib grackles, and Ruddy-breasted Seedeaters. If fortunate, we might spot the island's national bird, the Saint Lucia amazon. You'll be captivated by the birds' vibrant colors.
We will also enjoy a tropical breakfast while discussing St. Lucía's vast bird life, which includes over 150 species.
Finally, we'll return to the meeting point to conclude a 5-hour walk through the rainforest.
