Tour Details
At the time indicated, we'll meet at 65 Water Street, on the shore of the Saint John River. Once everyone has arrived, we'll start this guided visit around Saint John, Canada's first incorporated city.
We'll learn about the history of Saint John, located on the Bay of Fundy, starting with the Three Sisters Lamp, a Victorian-style lighthouse used by sailors in the 19th century. Nearby, we'll visit Trinity Anglican Church and Saint John's Port for views of Partridge Island, followed by Queen's Square, a large green space with trees and fountains.
Next, we'll stop at King's Square, featuring Victorian-style buildings. We will also view the Imperial Theatre, known for its detailed facade, and the Loyalist Burial Ground, the resting place of the city's first inhabitants.
Continuing our exploration, we'll visit the City Market, a hub for locals and tourists to learn about Saint John's cuisine and crafts. To conclude the tour, we'll walk along the Harbour Passage Trail, offering climbs and viewpoints for city views, and finish at Fort La Tour after 2.5 hours of walking.
