The Cape Verde archipelago is known for its spectacular marine environments. Dive into them with a day of scuba diving for beginners off Sal Island.
Description
We will pick you up from your hotel in Sal Island and head to the dive center with its open-air pool. After a one-hour introductory lesson in scuba diving, you will be equipped with a wetsuit, fins, mouthpieces, tanks, and goggles.
You will return to your hotel for two free hours to eat and rest before we pick you up again to go to the island pier.
Once suited up with your scuba gear, we’ll proceed to the coast to view marine species. Cape Verde is a prime dive spot, and at the beach, we will dive for one hour at varying levels based on group capabilities, with a maximum depth of 12 feet.
This introduction to diving will showcase the subaquatic ecosystem of Sal Island, allowing you to see coral, turtles, manta rays, and diverse fish species up close. This will be an unforgettable experience.
After the dive, we will return to the pier and then to your hotel. The total activity lasts about 3 hours for the morning option or 2.5 hours in the afternoon.
Hotel Pickup
Pickup is included from most hotels in Santa Maria. We will contact you after booking with the time and exact pickup point. If you are not at a hotel with pickup, we will meet you at the dive center on Santa Maria beach.
