Description
At the designated time after sunset, we will pick you up from your hotel in Santa Maria and take you to a beach inhabited by Cape Verde loggerhead turtles. Your guide will help you enjoy the experience while respecting the natural environment of these creatures. We will see the turtles nesting in the sand or heading out to sea.
We will walk in small groups along the beach to avoid disturbing the turtles. You will learn about their breeding and reproduction. Infrared lamps will be provided for nighttime photography. After watching the turtles, we will return to your hotel, approximately 2 hours after pickup.
