Do want to lose yourself in the dreamy landscapes of the Cocora Valley? Then this hiking route around the Acaime Nature Reserve.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Our Lady of Carmen Church and from there, we'll proceed to the Cocora Valley to begin the hiking route.

We will walk along the trails, passing through a trout farm and enjoying the landscape with its wax palms.

Continuing through Los Nevados National Park, we will reach the Acaime Reserve, where we will encounter 5 hanging bridges spanning a stream, showcasing the diversity and beauty of Colombian fauna and flora.

There will be a brief stop to enjoy a hot chocolate or a typical drink of aguapanela with cheese while learning about the history of the area.

Afterward, we will continue the hike to search for the emerald toucan, along with more than 7 species of hummingbirds in the rainforest.

We will have a delicious lunch with options including a typical mountaineer cold meat, a chicken and cheese sandwich, jam and peanut butter, ham and cheese, or a vegan sandwich. After lunch, we will start our descent.

Finally, we will conclude our journey back at the starting point after 8 hours together.
