Cocora Valley Hiking Tour

Do you want to lose yourself in the dreamy landscapes of the Cocora Valley? Then join this hiking route around the Acaime Nature Reserve.

Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Our Lady of Carmen Church and head towards the Cocora Valley to begin our hiking route.

We will walk along the trails in this area, passing through a trout farm while enjoying the landscape and its imposing wax palms.

The hike continues through the Los Nevados National Park to the Acaime Reserve, where we will see 5 hanging bridges crossing a stream and experience the diversity of Colombian fauna and flora.

We will take a brief stop to enjoy a hot chocolate or a typical drink of aguapanela with cheese while discussing the history of the area.

Afterward, we will continue the hike in search of the emerald toucan and observe more than 7 species of hummingbirds in the rainforest.

Lunch will be provided, including options such as cold meat, a chicken and cheese sandwich, jam and peanut butter, ham and cheese, or a vegan sandwich. Following lunch, we will begin our descent down the mountain.

Finally, we will conclude our experience back at the starting point after 8 hours together.
