Day Trip Details

We will start our adventure to the Machín volcano by meeting at the main park of Salento at the scheduled time. Get ready to explore.

During the offroading trip, we will traverse the National Trail, one of the oldest roads in South America. This journey offers significant landscapes and a chance to experience a place rich in historical value.

Our journey will include a stop at the Nevados viewpoint, where you can enjoy a Colombian coffee while taking in the views, including the Cascada de la Ceja. Following that, we will enjoy a traditional breakfast next to the wax palms, known to reach heights of up to 70 meters (229 feet).

Reenergized, we will continue toward Toche. We will have a typical lunch while enjoying the surroundings of this charming small town, known for its picturesque houses amidst the Andes mountain range. We will also pass by an unusual cemetery situated in the forest along the National Trail.

We will reach the Machín volcano, where you'll have approximately three hours to explore. Bring your camera to capture amazing stalagmites on the cave floors.

Finally, we will return to our meeting point in Salento, concluding our tour at 7:30 pm.
