Your journey begins at 9 am when we collect you from your accommodation in Salento. From there, we will get into a spacious all-terrain vehicle to set off to the municipality of Quimbaya.

Upon reaching our destination, we will connect with our guide to initiate the exploration along the La Vieja River. A short briefing will be held to explain how to properly sit on the traditional bamboo rafts, akin to those historically utilized by the indigenous communities of Colombia.

Are you eager to embark on a river adventure? We'll set off for a four-hour journey, where you can admire the scenery and wildlife indigenous to the Quimbaya region.

During the expedition, we will make a stop at a family-owned farm to relish a delightful lunch. Have you ever tried sudado montañero? This traditional Quindío dish consists of potatoes, yucca, and plantains, paired with beef or chicken, accompanied by a fresh salad.

After refueling, we will resume our journey while sharing intriguing tales about the area.

At the conclusion of our bamboo rafting experience, we will head back to Salento, with an expected arrival around 2 pm.
