We will meet at the Parroquia Nuestra Señora del Carmen in the heart of Salento at the scheduled time. From there, we'll board our off-road vehicles and head towards the stunning Cocora Valley. Along our route, we’ll delve into the local coffee culture and the diverse flora that characterizes this region.
Our first stop will be at an observation point in the mountains, where you can take in the sweeping views of the Nevados National Park. You won't be able to miss the towering wax palms that populate this area! Did you know that the Cocora Valley is the natural habitat of Colombia's national tree? We’ll share intriguing insights about this remarkable plant as we navigate through the valley, keeping an eye out for the vibrant flowers and the birds soaring above us.
Following our exploration, we will return to Salento to discover the city's historic center. Before we start our guided tour, we'll enjoy a well-earned traditional lunch, featuring trout and patacón (twice-fried plantains). A delightful treat!
