Visit one of the most impressive archaeological sites in Italy: the ancient Greco-Roman city of Paestum. This trip also includes a visit to a mozzarella production facility.

Paestum Temples Trip and Mozzarella Factory

At 8:00 am, we will meet at the port of Salerno and drive south to the archaeological site of Paestum, approximately 50 minutes away.

We will start a guided tour of this World Heritage city, a symbol of Classical Antiquity, exploring its legacy from the Greeks and Romans.

During the tour, we will see perfectly preserved Doric style temples, including the shrine to Hera, dating back to the 6th century B.C. We will also visit the National Museum of Paestum to learn more about the site's history.

Following the historical tour, we will drive across the plain of Piana del Sele, known for its buffalo breeding farms, where milk is used to produce mozzarella.

We will stop at a factory to observe the care of the buffalo and the mozzarella production process. A tasting of the product will also be included.

After the visit, we will return to our vehicle and drive back to Salerno, arriving at 4:00 pm.
