At the time of your choice, we will meet at the waterfront in Salerno to begin a guided tour through the historic center of Salerno.

We will start walking through the medieval streets towards the San Pietro a Corte complex. Roman baths, Christian places of worship, and Norman palaces converge here, allowing us to discover the diversity of cultures in Salerno's history.

Next, we will visit the cathedral of San Matteo, also known as the Duomo of Salerno. This sanctuary was built on the remains of a Roman temple. You will learn about this and other facts as we explore inside the basilica.

The tour will also take us to the impressive Arechi Castle, located on top of Mount Bonadies. We will discuss the defensive role of this fortress, whose origins date back to the 7th century.

We will then stroll along the main shopping streets, admiring the historic jewelers' and goldsmiths' shops. This final stretch will also cover the importance of the old medical school of Salerno.

After a three-hour tour, we will end back at the starting point.
