At your chosen time, we will meet at the waterfront in Salerno to begin a guided tour through the historic center.

We will walk through the medieval streets towards the San Pietro a Corte complex, where Roman baths, Christian worship sites, and Norman palaces reveal the cultural diversity of Salerno's history.

Next, we will visit the cathedral of San Matteo (Duomo of Salerno), which was built on the remains of a Roman temple. You will learn about this sanctuary and other intriguing facts as we explore the basilica.

The tour will continue to the impressive Arechi Castle on Mount Bonadies, discussing its significant defensive role since the 7th century.

Finally, we will stroll along the main shopping streets, viewing historic jewelers' and goldsmiths' shops, and we will highlight the significance of the old medical school of Salerno.
