At your chosen time, we will meet at the waterfront in Salerno to begin a guided tour through the historic center.

Our walk will start through the medieval streets towards the San Pietro a Corte complex. Here, Roman baths, Christian places of worship, and Norman palaces converge, revealing the diversity of cultures in Salerno's history.

Next, we visit the cathedral of San Matteo, also known as the Duomo of Salerno. This sanctuary was built on the remains of a Roman temple, and you will learn about its history as we explore inside.

The tour also includes the impressive Arechi Castle, located on Mount Bonadies. We will discuss its important defensive role, dating back to the 7th century.

We will stroll along the main shopping streets, admiring historic jewelers' and goldsmiths' shops. This final stretch will cover the significance of the old medical school of Salerno.

After a three-hour tour, we will conclude the guided tour back at the starting point.
