Salerno Private Tour

Having met at the scheduled time at our meeting point in the Piazza Matteo Luciani, we'll begin our private tour of the city's historic centre. In this square, we will admire the Giuseppe Verdi Municipal Theater and the Villa Comunale's medieval gardens.

Next, we will visit the Minerva Gardens, noted as the oldest botanical garden in Europe, utilized by Salerno Medical School students for medicinal plants since the Middle Ages.

We will then stroll through the historic centre of Salerno, navigating narrow alleys like Via dei Mercanti. We will observe significant historical buildings, including the Monumental Complex of San Pietro Corte and the Salerno Cathedral, also known as the Duomo, where the remains of Saint Matthew are located.

Our tour will continue to the Devil's Bridge, a medieval aqueduct tied to a local legend. We will conclude by walking along the scenic promenade, often regarded as one of the most beautiful in Italy. Following a captivating 2-hour tour, we will say our goodbyes while enjoying a view of the gulf and the Amalfi Coast.
