Salerno Private Tour

Meeting at the scheduled time in Piazza Matteo Luciani, we will begin our private tour of the historic centre. In this square, we will observe the Giuseppe Verdi Municipal Theater, a 19th-century building, and the Villa Comunale's medieval gardens.

Next, we will visit the Minerva Gardens, the city's main attraction and the oldest botanical garden in Europe, used by students at the Salerno Medical School for medicinal plants since the Middle Ages.

We will then explore the historic centre of Salerno, winding through narrow medieval alleys such as Via dei Mercanti. We will view historically significant buildings, including the Monumental Complex of San Pietro Corte and Salerno Cathedral. The Duomo, an 11th-century architectural treasure, houses the remains and relics of apostle Saint Matthew.

Our tour continues to the famous Devil's Bridge, a medieval aqueduct linked to a well-known local legend.

To conclude, we will stroll along the promenade, regarded as one of the most beautiful in Italy. Following a 2-hour tour, we will part ways while enjoying a view of the gulf and the Amalfi Coast.
