Cabra Corral Reservoir Trip
Departure from the center of Salta is scheduled for 9:30 am, via RN68 road, heading south through the Lerma Valley.
On the route, we will pass through villages such as Cerrillos, La Merced, El Carril, and Coronel Moldes. We will then leave RN68 to reach the Cabra Corral reservoir, recognized for its significant dam.
You will have approximately one hour of free time to relax and appreciate the views of this expansive body of water. The reservoir is the second largest in Argentina and produces substantial hydroelectric energy derived from the Pasaje, Juramento, and Salado rivers, supporting various provinces in the northwest.
This engineering achievement, built between 1966 and 1972, rises to a height of 305 feet. The reservoir's size could fill numerous Olympic swimming pools.
After enjoying the landscapes of Cabra Corral, we will return to the center of Salta, arriving by 2 pm.
Hotel pick up
The tour includes pick-up from hotels in the center of Salta. For those in more remote areas, pick-up will occur at the meeting point at 45 Buenos Aires street.
