Cabra Corral Reservoir Trip
The tour departs from the center of Salta at 9:30 am, traveling along RN68 road south through the Lerma Valley. We will pass through villages including Cerrillos, La Merced, El Carril, and Coronel Moldes, before taking a direct route to the Cabra Corral reservoir.
Participants will enjoy approximately one hour of free time to relax and take in the views. The reservoir is notably the second largest in Argentina, with hydroelectric energy generated from the confluence of the Pasaje, Juramento, and Salado rivers, supplying energy to several provinces in the northwest. The dam, constructed between 1966 and 1972, reaches a height of 305 feet.
After exploring Cabra Corral, we will return to the center of Salta, arriving at 2 pm.
