On this excursion to El Rey National Park, we'll depart from Salta to visit this natural gem in northern Argentina.
Tour Highlights
At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Salta and head east to the Anta region, home to El Rey National Park.
We will explore the protected natural space, starting with its lush yungas jungles. We'll walk the trails of El Rey National Park, appreciating the area's botanical diversity.
During the hike, we'll learn about various native plant species, including tipas, pacarás, pinos del cerro, tarcos, criollo walnut trees, and cedars. These specimens are characterized by being covered by ferns and epiphytes, typical of jungle ecosystems.
Throughout the trails, we'll have the opportunity to observe wildlife such as collared peccaries, brown brocket deer, tapirs, river otters, or pumas. Following our exploration, a picnic lunch will be provided, including a sandwich, a piece of fruit, a slice of cake, and two bottles of mineral water.
After lunch, we will return to Salta, with arrival at your hotel scheduled 12 hours after pickup.
