Description

At the scheduled time, pickup will be from your hotel in Salta, starting the journey to Santa Rosa de Tastil.

The first stop will be Campo Quijano, a small town referred to as the 'door to the Andes.' We will then proceed to Quebrada del Toro, taking a scenic route through mountainous terrain showcasing colorful hilltops and cacti, offering numerous photo opportunities.

We will pass the famous Tren a las Nubes viaduct before reaching Quebrada del Toro, where we will take in stunning views of the Salta region. Afterward, we'll head to the quaint town of Santa Rosa de Tastil, home to a local indigenous community.

This town hosts the Tastil ruins, an important archaeological site situated at 3,200 meters (10,498 feet) above the Calchaquíes Valleys. Time will be allocated for exploration and enjoying the surroundings. This site is noted as one of the largest pre-Colombian cities in Argentina.

After providing time for lunch at local restaurants, the return trip to Salta will conclude this culturally rich tour.
