What to Expect
We'll pick you up from your hotel in Salta, starting our tour to explore the local musicians and poets connected to the rich regional folklore of northern Argentina.
The journey includes stops at iconic sites in Salta, such as the Balderrama, the Paseo de los Poetas, and the 9 de Julio square, where we'll see the Gustavo "Cuchi" Leguizamón statue. After discussing this influential artist's history, we will visit the Pajarito Velarde Museum, which honors one of the advocates of Salta's folk culture.
Next, we will tour Salta's primary folkloric peñas on Balcarce Street. At one venue, you'll have the chance to learn the basic steps of gatos, chacareras, zambas, and other traditional dances.
