Do you know how cigarettes and cigars are made? We'll find out on this tobacco tour through Lerma Valley, one of the main producing areas in Argentina.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Salta and depart to the south of the city, where Lerma Valley is located. It is known as one of the main tobacco producing areas in Argentina.

During the tour, we'll pass through the tobacco plantations found in the villages of Lerma Valley. The towns of Cerrillos, Rosario de Lerma, El Carril, and Coronel Moldes are included. Take the opportunity to take pictures of their landscapes.

In these towns, we'll learn about tobacco production methods and their historical evolution, as well as discover the most notable varieties in this region. Afterwards, we'll continue our route through Lerma Valley towards the Cabra Corral reservoir.

You will have one hour of free time for lunch on the banks of the reservoir. After lunch, we will visit Finca Santa Anita, where we will learn about its main agricultural and livestock activities. At this hacienda, we will also visit an archaeological collection and the Tobacco Museum, the first of its kind in Argentina.

After the museum visit, we will return to your hotel in Salta, arriving 8 hours after pickup.
