The wildest nature of Salta awaits us on this excursion to Los Cardones National Park. We'll also enjoy a hike near the breathtaking Puente del Diablo (Devil's Bridge).

Tour Highlights

After picking you up at your hotel in Salta at the indicated time, we'll set off westward. We'll first cross the Lerma Valley and the yungas forests in the Escoipe ravine. Then, we'll pass through El Maray and ascend the Cuesta del Obispo. Once we leave this zigzagging route behind, we'll enter Los Cardones National Park, one of Salta's protected areas.

In this natural environment, we'll stop at the Piedra del Molino, located at an altitude of 3450 meters. The route will then continue towards the Calchaquí valley, crossing the Recta del Tin-Tin, an ancient Inca road leading into the heart of the Cardones National Park.

Next, we'll proceed to the town of Payogasta to access the iconic National Route 40. This road leads to the Devil's Bridge, where a series of underground caves cross the Calchaquí River. Here, we will begin a hike to explore the geological features of the caves.

After this hike, we will have a picnic lunch consisting of a sandwich, a piece of fruit, a slice of cake, and two bottles of mineral water. Following lunch, we will tour the Rocas Negras Field next to the Gemelos volcanoes and the town of La Toma.

From this last town, we will enjoy views of the Nevado de Acay. Finally, we will return to Salta, arriving at your hotel approximately 12 hours after pickup.
