7-Day Tour of Salta, Jujuy & Tucuman

Day 1: Arrival in Salta

Your week-long exploration in northern Argentina begins with a pick-up from either the airport or the bus station in Salta, followed by a transfer to your hotel. You then have the day at your disposal to wander through this charming colonial city.

Day 2: Discovering Salta

After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, you’ll have time for yourself until 3:45 p.m., when a guided exploration of Salta will commence. During this tour, you’ll delve into the city’s backstory, founded in 1582, as you appreciate sights such as 9 de Julio Square, San Bernado Convent, and the San Francisco Church, where the notable General Martín Miguel de Güemes rests.

En route to San Lorenzo, a picturesque village located close to the Lerma Valley, we’ll pass the Catholic University. On our return, we’ll make a stop at Salta's Handicrafts Market to observe traditional gold and leather crafts. Finally, we will conclude the day by returning to your hotel.

Day 3: Journey to Jujuy

On the third day, our team will collect you from the hotel and escort you to the airport or bus station in Salta for your trip to San Salvador de Jujuy. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to your new hotel, allowing you to enjoy the rest of the day at your preference.

Day 4: Quebrada de Humahuaca Adventure

Your day begins at 7 a.m. with a pick-up for an excursion to Quebrada de Humahuaca, renowned for its unique farmhouses and the rich Omahuaca culture, set against stunning natural vistas. This region has earned its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Throughout the day, we will visit Rio Grande, Tumbaya, and Purmamarca, alongside the remarkable pre-Inca fortress of Pucará de Tilcara. Our journey continues over the Tropic of Capricorn and into Uquía, where you will have a chance to see the town's famous Ángeles arcabuceros artworks—depictions of angels adorned in traditional Andean noble attire wielding firearms. The day culminates with a stroll through the cobbled streets of Humahuaca before heading back to Jujuy.

Day 5: Transfer to Tucuman

On the fifth day, our team will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the airport or bus station in Jujuy as you set out for Tucuman. After your arrival, a transfer to your hotel will be arranged, leaving the day open for you to explore the city at your own pace.

Day 6: Guided City Tour in Tucuman

Following breakfast, prepare for a guided tour of Tucuman. The walk will take you through the city's most notable historic sites, including Our Lady of the Incarnation Cathedral, the San Martín Theatre, the local government offices, and the charming district of Yerba Buena. After the tour, you will return to the hotel for the final night of your stay.

Day 7: Final Day in Tucuman

On your last morning, take advantage of some free time to discover more of Tucuman on your own. When the time arrives for your onward travels, we will assist you with a pick-up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport or bus station, marking the conclusion of seven memorable days in northern Argentina.
