Option 1: 3-Hour Hike

On this more accessible hiking adventure, you'll traverse 8 to 10 kilometers (5 - 6.2 miles) along diverse trails winding through the lush forests of the Argentine Andes, known as yungas. This unique Andean forest type is a hallmark of the San Lorenzo region. While strolling through the surroundings, you'll encounter a variety of native flora, including epiphytes and various climbing plants.

As we reach the San Lorenzo ravine, our journey will take us along the river, where we'll hike upstream until we arrive at a vantage point offering breathtaking panoramic views of Salta.

Departure times: 10 am and 3 pm

Option 2: 7-Hour Hike

This option involves a more challenging trek, covering 19 kilometers (12 miles). We'll begin by climbing through the San Lorenzo ravine as we gradually ascend towards the heights of the Eastern Cordillera.

Our path will lead us through the vibrant landscapes of mountain jungles, where we'll see various local tree species such as ceibos, walnuts, and cedar trees, among others. We will climb to an elevation of 2400 meters (7,900 feet) to capture the most impressive views of the Lerma Valley.
